Who we are

Anime Food Lab is a fan-made recipe site at https://www.animefoodlab.com. We publish Japanese home-cooking recipes inspired by anime, with ingredient guides and optional shopping links. The site is unofficial and is not affiliated with any studio or rights holder.

Data we collect

There are no user accounts, newsletters, or comment forms. We do not ask you for a name, email address, or password to browse recipes.

When you load a page, the host may record ordinary technical logs, for example:

• IP address
• browser and device type
• pages requested and the time of the request

We do not use audience-measurement pixels or first-party advertising cookies on Anime Food Lab. Strictly technical cookies required to serve the site may be set by the server or your browser. When you click an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon may place third-party cookies on your device to track qualifying purchases within a 24-hour window (see below).

How that data is used

Technical logs exist only to run and secure the site (delivery, debugging, abuse prevention). We do not use them to build marketing profiles.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) for site security, abuse prevention, and reliable operation of the infrastructure.

Some recipes and ingredient guides include Amazon Associate links. Clicking those links sends you to Amazon. When you click an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon may place cookies on your device to track qualifying purchases within a 24-hour window. Anime Food Lab does not receive your Amazon account details from that click; Amazon processes the visit under Amazon's privacy notice. How we earn from qualifying purchases is explained on our affiliate disclosure.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. Logs may be visible only to:

• the hosting provider, as needed to keep the site online and secure
• competent authorities, if a valid legal request requires it

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or the Swiss nLPD, including:

• Access — to know what data we hold about you
• Rectification — to correct inaccurate information
• Erasure — to ask that data be deleted
• Restriction or objection — to limit or object to processing
• Withdrawal of consent — if we later use non-essential cookies or similar tools

Write to contact@animefoodlab.com. We aim to reply within one month. Because we do not run accounts, many requests will only concern host access logs.

Security

We use ordinary technical measures (HTTPS, access control on the server) to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. No website can guarantee absolute security.

Hosting

Pages are hosted by OVH SAS (2, rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France). Connection and access logs described above are retained for up to 12 months in accordance with applicable legal obligations, then automatically deleted. Full publisher and host details are on the legal notice.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page if the law changes or if we start using analytics, forms, or other tools that process personal data. The date at the top of the page will change when we do.
